ADD & ADHD

People with ADHD and ADD often have an excess of Delta and Theta brain waves—which indicate the brain is in deep relaxation rather than active and alert. Neurofeedback training targets the source of these symptoms—the brain itself. This training helps the brain achieve better balance, which can reduce or even eliminate symptoms. Enhanced brain function leads to improved focus, concentration, memory, and mood. Neurofeedback harnesses your brain’s natural ability to learn, promoting healthier, more efficient functioning.

How Does Neurofeedback Work?

Imagine going to a teacher for piano lessons. Over time, with repetition and practice, you can learn how to play. The feedback portion of our training acts like the teacher, only it is teaching better, more efficient ways of thinking. One study published in Pediatrics, the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, reported that neurofeedback, when used for children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), “contributes to lasting improvements.”

Are There Any Side Effects Reported for Neurofeedback?

Side effects from neurofeedback are extremely rare. In over 40 years of practice, the vast majority of clients have experienced significant benefits without any adverse effects.
