What is Neurofeedback?

How would you like to improve your response to daily situations and maintain control of your thoughts and moods?
Neurofeedback training can help you achieve that. Neurofeedback is a non-invasive intervention that presents the participant with real-time feedback on brainwave activity, as measured by sensors on the scalp, and typically in the form of visual or audio rewards. When brain activity changes in the direction of more optimal brainwave patterns, a positive “reward” feedback is given to the individual. The training is painless and simple. You just watch a video for 30 minutes per session. If your brainwaves deviate from the desired range, it triggers a change in the audio or video feedback. Your brain detects this and refocuses itself back to the desired range, balancing your brainwaves. This method, known as implicit learning, uses positive reinforcement to create long-term changes in your brainwave function. As your brain learns to maintain normal ranges on its own, you should notice and feel reduced problematic symptoms and differences in how you think, feel, and behave.
