Anxiety & Panic Attacks
Many people feel anxious or nervous when faced with a problem at work, before taking a test, or making an important decision. However, anxiety disorders are different. They can cause such severe distress that it interferes with a person’s ability to lead a normal life. Types of anxiety disorders include: panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, specific phobias, and generalized anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders are serious mental illnesses. For people with anxiety disorders, worry and fear are constant and overwhelming, and can be crippling.
What Happens in the Brain When People Suffer from Anxiety and Panic Attacks?
Research shows that anxiety disorders can result from an excess of Beta (High Frequency) brainwaves on the right side of the brain. These brainwaves occur naturally when a person is awake and concentrating. However, too many Beta brainwaves can lead to anxiety and worry. Panic attacks are extreme cases of this imbalance and are very difficult to control on your own due to their intense nature.
We Can Reduce the Effects of Anxiety and Panic Attacks?
I offer a non-invasive, all natural, neurofeedback training protocol that can reduce or eliminate your anxiety and panic attack symptoms. Whether brought on by a traumatic experience, social anxiety, post-concussion, or “just developed over time”, we can help you get to the root of the problem, so you can regain control of your life.
Neurofeedback Training Can Help ?
I use an advanced technology, called a qEEG (Quantitative Electroencephalogram) to measure and analyze the electrical flow in each lobe of the brain. If your anxiety and panic attacks are due to an excess of Beta waves, we’ll identify it. Once the measurements are taken, you’ll receive a personalized training protocol to correct the imbalance. The training sessions are enjoyable—just relax and watch a movie! During the training session, sensors will measure your brainwaves while the equipment provides audio and visual feedback based on your results. This recurring feedback helps create new, healthier neural pathways over time. Gradually, your brain achieves balance, reducing anxiety and stopping panic attacks.
